This chick did end up getting a little bit of color on its rump. So s/he is a cinnamon recessive pied yellow face mauve. There just aren't any cinnamon markings!
I have found some of my cinnamon girls look like boys for a long time, so even though this one looks like a boy, I'm keeping an open mind about it for now. |
Next oldest, MN2 Third oldest, MN3. These three are from Milo and Norma. The next two chicks are from Clover and Splat Here is CS1: And here is CS2. |
The MN chicks are definitely boys. CS1 is probably a boy, and CS2 has a fifty fifty chance of being either a boy or girl. We'll have to wait to find out on that one. If you are on the waiting list, you will probably be getting an email from me pretty soon! |
All three nests now have their chicks hatching. Fagan and Nubbly are up to 5 chicks with 3 more eggs to hatch, and Robert and Summer had a total of 6 eggs, but there is one that doesn't look like it has developed. They have two chicks hatched so far. I will be able to let them keep all their chicks, since there will only be 5 or 6. |
