Babies are getting big, and will be ready to go in mid to late September!
There are spots on our waiting list for people who want to reserve one in advance. This allows you to bring your bird home at the youngest age possible. Once the waiting list is fulfilled, remaining chicks will be listed for sale on this page.
Budgiedin Budgerigars is located in central Indiana, just north of Indianapolis, and we do not ship our budgies. They are for local pick up only.
If you are interested in finding out more about our birds, you may contact us by using the contact form at the bottom of the page or click here.
Our prices for budgies are:
$85.00 for hand raised, only occasionally
$40.00 for rare mutations (Texas Clearbody and Lacewing)
$20.00 for regular parent raised babies
Adult breeding stock (regular mutations) are priced at $10.00 each when they are available.
We breed the American type budgies. Some of them have English blood mixed in, but none of ours are pure English.
Hand Raised American Parakeets (Budgies) $85.00
I am not planning to hand feed any more budgies except in cases of emergency, where the parent birds need me to help them.
Therefore, I will no longer be taking any names for my waiting list. In the event that I hand feed any chicks, it will be posted here, and on my Hatching and Growing page. Otherwise, there will be no hand fed chicks available in 2017.
I am happy to say that I have found two new sources to refer people to for hand fed budgies. Contact me for more information.
Rare Mutation American Parakeets (Budgies) For Sale $40.00 for visuals, $30.00 for splits.
We are beginning to see some results from our rare mutation breeding projects. We have sold the Texas Clearbody babies that hatched in spring. Hopefully there will be more available in the fall. We hope to have Lacewings in the fall as well.
Parent Raised American Parakeets (Budgies) For Sale $20.00
Parent raised babies are fledging now and should be available in the last half of September.
Adult Parakeets (Budgies) for sale $10.00
We will be selling some of our experienced parents after we breed them this year. But that won't be for a while because the ones we have left are waiting for their turn in the breeding cages.
