The budgie chicks have gotten a lot more color since my last post. There are two sky blues, a cobalt and one that I think will be violet.
CA10, opaline yellow face mutant two cobalt. Not sure on the gender of this one. It seems like most of Collin and Astrid's chicks have kept me guessing about gender. I wonder if that is hereditary, since usually there is only a random chick here or there that I can't tell about. Not a consistent pattern among siblings. In Collin and Astrid's previous round, there were five chicks that I just couldn't tell what they were for quite a long time.
The Bourke's chick is getting close to fledging from the nest. I'll have to try to get some photos of her, now that she has almost all of her feathers in. Her mother has laid a new egg already! I was hoping to let Mom rest for a while before she has a third round, but she has jumped the gun a little bit.
